KTR believes in well-rounded students. Outside of riding, students are taught safety, grooming, tack, tacking, untacking, horse care, equine anatomy and other general horse knowledge.

Don’t think you’re too old – you are NEVER too old to start! We have a wonderful adult lesson program tailored for the more mature rider, even if you’ve never been on a horse!

Private lessons feature one-on-one interactions with an instructor. Group lessons are capped at 6 riders. Please inquire for lesson length and pricing.

Horse showing – where the fun really starts! KTR travels to shows across the nation as well as being very active in the local show circuit. Currently, the show schedule includes the Bartow County Saddle Club, Gilmer County Saddle Club, Tennessee Paint Shows, Rolling Hills Horse Shows, among others. Riders also annually attend the World Pinto Championship Horse Show held in Oklahoma.

Owning a horse is not mandatory to enjoy the show ring! Davidson happily allows students to show on her lesson horses (based on availability) and leasing options are also available.

Please note that all students under the age of 18 are required to wear a riding helmet during lessons.

 

Horse Shows 

This is where the real fun is!  Showing at both local and national levels, the show program starts kids riding and showing their horses.  You don't need to actually own a horse to show.  Depending on availability, KTR Farms may be able provide a horse for your child to ride and show.  Leasing options are also available.  Keri Davidson is a top riding instructor that has the knowledge and award winning experience to bring the best out of your young rider.   Check out some of out horse show winners in our photo album.
